The Water Sculptures are precise pieces of engineering, which nonetheless intrigue and entertain.  They are the perfect fusion of Pete's knowledge and experience as an engineer, and his eye for artistic design. The (many) different elements of each sculpture are drawn on the computer and laser cut, then Pete assembles all the different bits.

Water is pumped (in some of the pieces by hand – although we do have a ‘noria’ in the garden which works using the water which comes up the well at high tide… no really…), and the sculptures spring into life just using the weight of the water in different chambers which over balance when full.
